-             To lead and support cost engineers / controller (5) and planners (4) in order to make sure to have accurate data and keep consistency such as:

·            Man hours tracking for Oracle System (InControls) and P6 consistency.

·            To create Resource Loading Curve from P6.

§   Shell Debottlenecking Projects at Scotford Upgrader Plant, Alberta

-             To support schedulers to establish the basis of schedule.

-             To help schedulers in performing what-if schedule analyses.

-             To assist schedulers in carrying out resource analyses.

-             To monitor cost overrun and check cost variance.

-             To prepare cost reports such as Project Controls Statement and Major Project Report for senior management.

-         To review weekly, bi-weekly and monthly cost reports.

§   To support ten (10) project controls engineers and verify their cost and schedule reports for about 60 maintenance and terminal projects.

§   To establish Schedule Templates (Fragnets) using Primavera Methodology Management Module

§   To provide Project Controls Leadership as a representative of Petro-Canada Project Controls.

§   To check and analyze contractor’s (SNC-Lavalin, Calgary) incurred cost reports and progress reports.

§   To oversee, input and follow up on cost / schedule changes in the Petro-Canada Management of Change (MoC) program.

§   To participate in major meetings such as Weekly Project Leadership Meeting, Project Controls Coordination Meeting, Schedule Review Meeting, Trend/MoC Meeting and Risk Identification Sessions.

§   To monitor and check the development of contractor’s Project Controls deliverables (Class 3 Estimate, FEED and EPC Level 3 Schedule).

§   To oversee and coordinate the development of the Class 3 Estimate Confidence Package.

§   Development and integration of overall project schedule including EDS, Procurement and Construction for all areas of Suncor Lease 23 Development Project consisting of Extraction, Froth Treatment, Pumphouse & Pipelines, Electrical High Voltage, Site Infrastructure, Cogeneration, Voyageur Heat Integration and Utilities (VHI), Plant Automation and Diluted Bitumen.

§   DBM schedule development and update for Colt scope areas - Extraction, Froth Treatment, Cogeneration and VHI.

§   Attending Weekly progress meeting with disciplines

§   DBM schedule review for Suncor Voyageur Upgrader Project Utilities & Offsite Edmonton Bantrel scope consisting of Fresh Water Supply area, Interconnecting Piperack area, Flare & Knock-out area and Fire Protection area.

§   EDS schedule setup and maintenance for all of areas above.

§   Preparation and update of Staffing Plan for EDS and Detail Engineering stages.

§   To set up project schedules using Primavera P3EC and MS Project.

§   To monitor subcontractors’ schedule / progress and update the project master schedule.

§   To track project cost and performance including schedules for engineering, procurement and construction.
